Apprenticeships

Apprenticeships at City, University of London combine on-the-job training with study for a higher qualification, helping progress an apprentice’s career and give employers the highly skilled and knowledgeable workforce a business needs.

What apprenticeships does City offer?

Currently City offers five apprenticeship programmes for a wide range of industries with new courses evolving quickly and coming online soon.

 

Senior Leader level 7: Integrated degree - Senior Leader Master’s degree

 

Solicitor level 7: Non-degree qualification

 

Nursing Associate level 5: Non-degree qualification

 

Advanced Clinical Practitioner level 7: Integrated degree - Master’s degree in Advanced Clinical Practice

 

Digital & Technology Solutions Specialist level 7: Integrated degree - MSc Data Science Apprenticeship

Foundation courses

Your future is our concern, whatever your starting point. That is why we offer Foundation and preparatory courses in-house and at partner colleges and centres. Completing these with the required grades guarantees entry to a full City degree.

City Short courses

Our adult education courses are a great way to gain new expertise, advance skills or follow a passion.

You can choose from over 120 part-time courses in areas of business and management, computing, creative industries, languages, law and writing.

Our one-day classes start from £90 and no prior qualifications are required. Sessions are delivered online within a virtual classroom environment. Courses are taught live in small groups and are fully interactive.

When you enrol on one of our short courses, we welcome you into our community. You have access to various University benefits, including expert careers advice and discount gym membership.

City Health delivers short courses, study days and specialist training to practitioners working in the NHS, private and social care sectors.

Training is delivered by lecturers from the School of Health Sciences at City, University of London. The School is widely respected by UK healthcare professionals and has a worldwide reputation for excellence.

Workplace facilities

From our state-of-the-art Optometry Clinic (City Sight) and Adult Nursing Clinical Skills Centre, to our professional Engineering laboratories and workshops, Journalism TV, radio and music recording studios, you will build the practical skills and experience for your career.

As the way we study develops, we are quick to adapt, creating new spaces and opportunities to explore better ways of learning. Our new City Law School Building opens in 2020, complete with mock court and specialist Law Library.
